About the artwork

In Surface, I explore what we choose to show and what we protect beneath. The visible layers hold quiet traces of experiences, emotions, and moments that are not meant to be immediately understood.

I am drawn to the idea that what appears still or simple often carries depth, vulnerability, and memory. This work invites the viewer to pause, to look gently, and to sense what cannot be seen at first glance.

There is always more beneath the surface.
